How we protect your information
This page is maintained by Skate Beyond Limits to answer common privacy and security questions about our website and programs.

Who we are
Skate Beyond Limits is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit running an adaptive ice skating program for neurodivergent children. This site is operated by our volunteer team. If you have questions about anything on this page, please reach out through our contact form.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to share with us through our forms:
- Registration: parent/guardian contact details, the participant's first name and age range, and any access needs you choose to share so we can support your child during sessions.
- Volunteer applications: name, contact information, availability, and background you choose to provide.
- Contact, sponsor, and partner inquiries: name, organization (if applicable), email, and the message you send us.
We do not run advertising trackers on this site and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
How we use it
- To respond to your message or application.
- To coordinate program logistics — scheduling, ice time, volunteer pairing, and safety.
- To send program updates to families and volunteers who have opted in.
We do not use your information for any purpose unrelated to running the program without asking you first.
How it's stored
Form submissions are stored in our managed cloud database, which is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized program administrators through role-based access controls, and our database enforces row-level security so that only those administrators can read submitted records.
Our website and database are hosted on the Lovable platform. This is not a third-party certification — we describe what is enabled here so you understand how your information is handled.
Confirmation and notification emails are sent from a dedicated transactional sending domain (notify.skatebeyondlimits.com). We use a standard suppression list, so if you unsubscribe from a non-essential message we will stop sending you that category of email.
Children's information
We collect a child's information only from the parent or legal guardian who completes the registration form. We keep the information we ask for to the minimum needed to run the program safely. Parents or guardians can ask us to update or delete a child's record at any time by emailing us through the contact page.
Retention and deletion
We keep registration and volunteer records for as long as a family or volunteer is active in the program, plus a reasonable period afterward for our nonprofit records. You can request that we delete your information at any time and we will do so unless we are required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses only the technical storage required to run the site (for example, keeping you signed in if you have an administrator account). We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
Shared responsibility
Our hosting platform provides the underlying infrastructure security (encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls on the database). Skate Beyond Limits is responsible for how we collect, use, and share the information you give us, and for who on our team has administrator access. You are responsible for keeping any account credentials you use with us private.
Reporting a security concern
If you believe you have found a security issue with this website or with how we handle information, please tell us right away through the contact form and we will respond as quickly as we can.
